On Sunday the 5 Sept 2010, Sandur Polytechnic organized inter-polytechnic technical competitions meet “ SAN-TECH MANTRA” for the neighbouring polytechnics in Bellary district.

The program started with invocation, welcome and speeches by the Chief guest and principal. Mr. S.N. Nararayanswamy Sr. Lecturer in Mechanical dept., briefed about “SAN-TECH MANTRA”.

A special lecture on “STAYING POSITIVE” was delivered by the Principal, Mr. T.M. Aleem Ahmed which highlighted the importance of Positive attitude in gaining confidence to face the challenges of tough work environment.

Department-wise events and paper presentations on the various latest topics were conducted to encourage healthy competitive spirit among students.

Apart from Sandur Polytechnic, students from V.V.S. Polytechnic, Sanjay Gandhi Polytechnic, Bellary, and T.M.A.E’s Polytechnic, Hospet took part in the competitions and were highly enthusiastic in exhibiting their innate talents.

The Chief Guest of the function Mr. B.K. Hosur, HOD, dept. of Physics, Sandur Residential School advised the students to work towards gaining in-depth knowledge in their subjects. He also highlighted the importance of participation in such competitions to be successful in life. The programme “SAN-TECH MANTRA - 2010” concluded with cultural activities, distribution of prizes and vote of thanks.
