On Saturday the 15 Sept 2012, Sandur Polytechnic organized inter-polytechnic technical competitions meet "SANTECH MANTRA" for the neighbouring polytechnics in Bellary and Davanagere districts.

The program started with invocation and welcome of the guests. Mr. S.N. Nararayanswamy, Sr. Lecturer in Mechanical dept., introduced and spoke on the achievements of the Chief guest.

The Chief guest Dr. C.K. Subbaraya, Principal, AIT, Chikmagalur who is also the executive council member of ISTE, spoke about Sir M. Visveswaraya and Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan to mark celebration of Engineer's and Teacher's days. He advised the students to imbibe the qualities of these great personalities and become good engineers and teachers to help the society fight social evils while leading the nation to prosperity. Special guest Mr. Onkarswamy, HOD, E&EE, DACG polytechnic, Chikmagalur and Mr. T.M. Aleem Ahmed, Principal, Sandur Polytechnic, spoke on the occasion and advised students to participate in the events with zeal and focus on giving their best to make the celebrations meaningful.

Department-wise events and paper presentations on various topics were conducted to encourage healthy competitive spirit among students.

The workshop called papers on topics like:

> Submerged floating tunnel
> Green concrete technology
> Android Applications
> Real time operating system
> Effects of photonics on electronic industry
> Role of electronics & communication on forensics
> Smart grid
> Electrical load management in utilization of power
> Industrial Automation & Techniques of TQM


Practical events were conducted on Modelling in AutoCAD, Debugging in C Programming, Crack Digital Logic & implement, Trouble shooting & servicing of electrical home appliances and Solid Modelling technique using CATIA/Pro-E.

Apart from Sandur Polytechnic, students from V.V.S. Polytechnic, Bellary, T.M.A.E's Polytechnic, Hospet, SES Polytechnic, Siruguppa, S.T.J Polytechnic, Harapanahalli, Govt. Polytechnic, Kudligi, took part in the competitions and were highly enthusiastic in exhibiting their innate talents.

The Programme "SAN-TECHMANTRA – 2012" concluded with cultural activities, distribution of prizes, vote of thanks followed by National anthem.
