An Induction program for the first year students was organized on Saturday the 16 July, 2016. It started with invocation and welcoming first year students to the polytechnic. Second and final year students were very proud in sharing their views on how Sanpoly has helped them acquire good education and how ELCS has helped them improve communication skills. They gave important tips to the first year students on studies and emphasised the need to prepare for CET from first year itself to get into reputed engineering colleges.

Principal, Mr. T. M. Aleem Ahmed expressed a warm tribute to the founder patron, educationist, philanthropist and a great visionary, Late Shri M Y Ghorpade. He felt that the vision of the founder “Technical education for rural masses at affordable cost” is being realized through honest and dedicated efforts from management, faculty and students. Further, he spoke about the growth, culture of Sanpoly and developmental activities of the institute.

He advised the students to focus on 3 ‘Cs’, Commitment, Confidence and Communication for developing a better personality. The Principal also stressed on respect for parents and teachers, who help them shape their life, and spoke about dedicated and focussed hard work for acquiring good education and importance of communication with illustrations. He advised the students to join hands in keeping the campus green, clean and imbibe the good qualities to become successful Engineers.

On this occasion, first year students expressed their happiness and pride for being the students of this prestigious institution. They assured that they would imbibe good culture and discipline and pursue the success path of their seniors.

This program nurtures the newcomers to understand clearly the Mission and Vision of Sandur Polytechnic. It concluded with vote of thanks.
