As a part of ISTE student chapter, Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a three day training program "ANSYS- Theory and Practice" for final year Mechanical engineering students from 25th to 27th June 2012. Our alumni, Mr. Basavakumar and Mr. Gangadhar Gouda were the resource persons and conducted this workshop to help the students get exposure to practical aspects of engineering simulation software. Their highly enthusiastic and committed efforts enabled the students understand through simulation how the products in industry will operate in the real world. It covered major fields of application such as Thermal Engg, Fluid Power and Strength of Materials.



All the students actively participated in this well coordinated training program which was evident from the feedback during the valedictory function. The program was highly appreciated by all the students and staff for its effectiveness pertaining to manufacturing in industry. Our Principal, Sri. T. M. Aleem Ahmed spoke on the occasion and stressed on the importance of such programs from our alumni which would keep them connected with the institute and share their experience with current students. Both the alumni expressed their immense happiness and felt proud doing something for the polytechnic in the form of this training. Their advise to the current batch of students was highly motivational and a morale booster.
