As a part of ISTE student chapter, Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a two day training program “Metal Casting” for final year Mechanical engineering students from 28th to 29th January 2013. Our alumnus, Mr. Ramachar Jois was the resource person and conducted this workshop to help the students get exposure to practical aspects of Industrial needs. His highly enthusiastic and committed efforts enabled the students understand how the products in industry will operate in the real time.

All the students actively participated in this well coordinated training program which was evident from the feedback during the valedictory function. The program was highly appreciated by all the students and staff for its effectiveness pertaining to foundry technology. Our Principal, Sri. T. M. Aleem Ahmed spoke on the occasion and stressed on the importance of such programs from our alumni which would keep them connected with the institute and share their experience with current students. Mr. Ramachar Jois expressed his happiness and felt proud doing something for the polytechnic in the form of this training. His advice to the current batch of students was highly motivational and a morale booster.
