The Department of Mechanical Engineering came into existence in the year 1988 to provide quality and need based education in the field, keeping in mind the present competitive scenario. The department has an intake of 60 students and is having well qualified, dedicated and committed 9 faculty members ready to serve even beyond regular class hours.

The department is having well equipped and spacious laboratories and work shops with state of the art infrastructure to mould the students to face the present day requirements and make them acceptable to the industries.

The department has maintained its own high status by bagging 13 state level ranks including two I ranks in the Board Of Technical Examinations.
